If you honestly want to gain weight, you will need to eat more food that you eat now. I am not talking about overeating, if you aren’t careful you could gain fat. I am actually talking about eating 6 different meals a day and portioning them with healthy and proper food amounts. I know that you probably will think that this is too much food and some will even think they don’t have the time. It is possible, you just need to plan your meals out good.
If you have a fast burning metabolism, then you need to get into a high calorie diet with lots of protein. If you have the right amounts of food types in your diet, then it will build leaner looking muscle. The biggest mistake that you can make is overlooking the fact that you need to eat more to gain muscle.
First order of business: get yourself a food scale. You need to measure and calculate your daily food intake. If you don’t measure your food intake, then you won’t know if its too much or too little?
If you aren’t careful and don’t measure how much you eat, it could be bad. You are not going to end up getting it right all the time. When you start measuring your meals, it will get easier every time.
The usual meals of 3 a day is not going to work anymore. If you want your body to grow, then you need a steady flow of nutrients and energy. Three meals a day is not going to give you those results. You are going to have to increase your meals to about 6 a day, and that is roughly 1 meal every 2-3 hours. If you want to stop having crappy results and pack on muscle, then you need to find a plan that works out for you and stick to it.
